About

Daniel Adewale has everything a man could want—wealth, success, charm, and a different beautiful woman whenever he desires one. At 32, the handsome Lagos businessman has made one rule for himself: never fall in love. To Daniel, love is nothing more than a promise that eventually ends in pain. After witnessing the painful collapse of his parents’ relationship as a child, he learned to protect his heart by never giving it to anyone. Then he meets Amara, a beautiful, intelligent and independent woman who is completely unimpressed by his money, charm and reputation as a playboy. For the first time, Daniel finds himself pursuing a woman who isn’t interested in being pursued. What begins as a game slowly becomes something neither of them expected. Amara sees a side of Daniel that no other woman has ever seen, while Daniel discovers that beneath his carefully protected heart is a man capable of genuine love. But just when he begins to believe he can change, his past comes back to haunt him. A former lover threatens the trust Daniel has built with Amara, forcing him to confront the very thing he has spent his entire life running from. With Amara preparing to leave Lagos, Daniel must finally decide whether to remain the man who fears love—or risk everything for the woman who taught him what love truly means. Because sometimes, the person who swears they will never fall in love is the one who falls the hardest. ❤️
